Monsalve became famous for her role as lead singer of the girl group Chikas and in the popular bands Tartara in Venezuela and Latin Fiesta in London, England. More than 10 years, she was the host of Alo RCTV on Caracas' television. When she moved to the United States from Venezuela in 2002, she took part in a variety of stage and television productions. Within a couple of months of working, she was hired as the Hispanic representative to Rooms to Go. She was appointed as the local Telemundo affiliate's sport reporter for the 6 pm newscast in 2005. Monsalve joined ESPN at the end of 2007 and became a Sports Anchor for ESPN Deportes, broadcasting to Sports Center Hispanic audiences across North America and through ESPN 2 Central and South America. Monsalve confirmed that she was leaving ESPN in November 2014. She later confirmed she was a part of Univision Deportes.
